This policy explains what information Truly By Owner collects through trulybyowner.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Owner applications and listings: your name, email, property location, property details, photos, rates, and any contact details you choose to show on your listing.
- Payment information: membership payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through forms on the Site.
- Technical data: our hosting provider automatically records basic request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to run and secure the Site.
How we use it
- To review applications and create and manage listings
- To process membership payments and send receipts and renewal notices
- To respond to questions and provide support
- To keep the Site secure and prevent fraud and spam
- To improve the Site
What is shared
- On your listing: owner contact details you choose to publish are visible to anyone who visits the Site.
- Service providers: companies that help us run the Site, such as our website host (Netlify) and payment processor, only as needed to provide their service.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep owner information while your membership is active and for a reasonable period afterward for records, taxes, and disputes. We delete or anonymize application data we no longer need.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
Children
The Site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version.
